GTCC students must present a current-semester GTCC student identification card.
GTCC employees must present a GTCC identification card.
Community borrowers (those with no affiliation to GTCC) may borrow materials from the library but need a library-provided borrowing card. A valid North Carolina picture ID is required in order to obtain this card.
Books & Audio Books: 4 weeks with 1 renewal.
DVD’s: 1 week, no renewal. (Community borrowers may not check out popular DVDs.)
Books — Circulating Collection: $0.10 per book per workday. $10.00 maximum fine for regularly circulating books.
Reserve Items: $0.25 per hour per item, maximum of 8-hours per workday. $10.00 maximum fine per item.
Audio books: $0.10 per recorded media contained in package per workday. $10.00 maximum fine per recorded media contained in a package.
Videos: $1.00 per item per workday. $10.00 maximum fine per item.
Printing & copying:
Student printing on all the GTCC campuses requires the use of a printing card, which are available for purchase at your campus bookstore.
Photocopy machines are available on each campus, and are coin operated. Photocopies cost $0.10 per page.
Staff at the libraries of GTCC are committed to maintaining an environment conducive to research, study, and learning. Minimal noise levels in the libraries are integral to this environment. Library users and staff must respect the needs of others around them.
First Floor – Quiet Area
The quiet study area of the library is all of the first floor of the LRC building.
Conversation and other noise is to be minimal.
When conversation is necessary it must be at a low volume level on the first floor.
The first floor is the floor at the bottom of the LRC building.
All Other Areas of the Jamestown Campus Library and the Greensboro and High Point Campus Libraries
Library users and staff may hold low to medium volume conversations.
Cell phone conversations are not permitted inside the libraries.
